The Salem-Troy Disaster Relief ministry is a part of the larger Alabama and Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) Disaster Relief Ministries. Participants from across the association's thirty four churches volunteer to serve when disaster hits. These volunteers have received State Disaster Relief training and are qualified to serve anywhere disaster may strike. Salem-Troy has participated in relief efforts in Mississippi, Texas and Alabama to date. The primary area of response for our Disaster Relief Ministry is right here in Pike County and our volunteers are ready to serve if the need should arise.
